One of the main ways in which this recession differs from previous ones, at least where the consulting industry is concerned, is that some areas of IT expenditure have held up comparatively well. It’s true that investment in new IT systems has fallen dramatically, but spending on IT consulting has increased as many organisations look to cut their IT costs through data centre rationalisation or virtualisation, software-as-a-service and other initiatives.
Our seminar will mark the official launch of our report into IT cost cutting, sponsored by Xantus, and will focus on providing insights from organisations who have successfully cut their IT bills, as well as offering a consultant's perspective on the subject, and commentary from the report's author, Fiona Czerniawska. We are also delighted to be joined by former CIO of Legal & General, Margaret Smith, who will talk about some of the myths and realities of cutting IT costs.
This report and event is sponsored by Xantus.
