For decades, BT has been behind the successful operations of its customers. We are among the world’s leading providers of communication technologies that help businesses achieve their aims, no matter how ambitious.

But we are not simply providers of technology ‘hardware’ – of the wires and cables and servers and systems that sit behind every successful enterprise. We go beyond that, showing and proving to customers worldwide how to exploit that investment to achieve results that matter to them.

That is the very essence of our consultancy service to customers, and we deliver it across all sectors of industry, from oil and gas to pharmaceutical; government to manufacturing; financial services to retail.

The Professional Services consultants utilise their in-depth knowledge of networked IT services combined with solid understanding of sector based business processes to exploit investments in networked IT services. Ensuring our customers realise true business benefits that matter to them be it cost savings, productivity gains, competitive advantage or improved customer

How do we do this?
We unlock value by bridging the gap between a businesses strategic needs and the infrastructure. Successful networked IT engagements address people, process and technology. Our consultants focus on the people & process critical success factors.

  • Network
  • IT

Bite size consulting

Changing market conditions require changing market approaches! Historically consulting has been about taking an expert mind, the customers issues and a blank piece of paper, from which you determine a path unique for that companies circumstances and needs. This is a great approach when time and cost have a good degree of flexibility. However customers have reduced budgets for external consultancy and in some cases they have stopped them all together - so what are consulting firms doing to respond? BT Global Professional Services had already recognised the need for having a baseline of consulting terms of reference through its Quick Start series of technology consulting engagements - these are three week engagements intend to help clients baseline their "state" in various business/technology areas such as contact centres or flexible working and then determine the require state to meet the vision and ultimately bridge the gap between technology and business needs. However, for some organisations this has still felt like a leap too far and they just want to dip their toe in the water. So in response BT has launched a series of Quick Start First Steps which do exactly that - start the customer on the journey. All are below £10K and have been made simple to engage, for example the description, cost, timeline and contract signature is all already documented in the collateral, which saves time and money for both sides……The first one launched is all about sustainability - something still on many board agenda's but an area where customers need a little help to get started.
