Implementing SAP for a global energy major

Summary

This international energy company was undertaking a major programme of work to transform the operations of its global trading and supply business. At the heart of this programme was a back office project to replace ageing systems for settlement, invoicing and accounting. This resulted in one of the largest IT enabled projects the company has ever undertaken. It required over 1000 man-years of effort, impacting 19 different businesses in 5 different countries. Its scope included 80 interfaces to 36 different systems and transformed the day to day activities of over 650 business staff
